Progressive lifting of containment measures motivated by the COVID-19 pandemic
Following the announcement issued by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education regarding the extension of the declaration of a state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic until the 2nd May, and the necessary engagement of the HE institutions, the Board of CESAP, ESAP and ESAG inform that:
- From 11st May 2020, the practical (workshops, labs, studio work) and theoretical-practical subjects, as well as field work, will resume at ESAP, in the usual learning spaces and during the st usual timetables. Each Professor will adopt the measures that he or she deems more appropriate, in order to avoid student congregations in the respective classrooms, forming thus small working groups, composed of 5 to 6 students. We stress the importance of keeping the social distancing measures during the sessions;
- The theoretical subjects will continue on an online format; from the 1st of June, considering that this is the start of the last two weeks of the academic calendar, if it is necessary to undertake tests or students’ presentations in the classroom, they will take place at the ESAP. Each Professor responsible for the respective subject is requested to notify the Board of Directors of ESAP 5 days in advance of the scheduled action.
- The admin, IT and library services of ESAP will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 10.30-12.00/ 14.30/17.30.
The academic community is requested to strictly comply with the recommended hygiene rules, as well as the use of disinfectant gel (provided in all buildings), the use of protective masks, and the adherence to social distance.
