BRAGACINE awards film by teacher José Miguel Moreira

“Dirty Carnival” won the Short Film Award at the 17th Bragacine. Having been directed by José Miguel Moreira, professor at ESAP, this short fiction film was shot in Ovar.

According to the director, the film "follows the memory I have of the manifestation that was the Dirty Carnival in Ovar, which I met from my father's photos, but seduced me by being mysterious and pagan."

BRAGACINE 2019 honored Ken Loach's “Sorry We Missed You” for Best Picture, Patricia Sequeira's “Snu” feature film and “Best Director Award” went to Agnieszka Holland from “Mr. Jones”.
