The bachelor degree in Design of Communication presents a curricular plan focused on the areas of graphic design and multimedia design, including, however, the areas of audiovisual and photography. The bachelor's degree goals are to work on content, the "tools" and fundamental knowledge leading to the acquisition of skills, in order to analyze, reflect and conceive products, works and contents of graphic design and multimedia design.

Due to the broad nature of its study plan, the multiplicity of professional exits is favored in accordance with the acquired learning. The internship integrated in the bachelor degree boosts the contact with the professional environment.

Anselmo Canha. Degree in Communication Design - Graphic Art (University of Porto, 1984). Master in Image Design (University of Porto, 2008), PhD in Design (University of Porto, 2018). As a researcher, he is dedicated to the relationships between independent contexts of creation - namely non-professional and experimental - and social transformation. In his master dissertation he studied the Stop Shopping Center. His PhD thesis elected a community radio - Radio Manobras - as the center of a constellation of cases in the city of Porto. He co-coordinated “Manobras no Porto”, a project dedicated to think and act through creative action in the Historic Center of Porto. He has been a professional designer since 1984, having developed work mainly in the editorial, corporate identity and signage fields, the latter being his current professional specialization.

Completed a Master Degree on Illustration and Animation and graduated on Graphic Design. He has been working as a professor in several higher education entities (IPCA, IPP and IPB) and tutoring Workshops and Masterclasses with IPCA, Cinanima, Casa da Animação, Casa da Juv. Famalicão and individually. Professionally he works as a digital animator, graphic designer, visual effects artist and sound designer. He has some animations transmitted on FOX, RTP2 and TELE5 TV Channels and already produced and implemented audiovisual content in digital games. It stands out the collaboration with Portuguese Football Federation, ComicCon, "Pedro e o Gato", MagikBee, Original Features and Animgram. Bachelor of Fine Arts / Painting by FBAUP (1981). PhD from the University of Vigo (Department of Sculpture, 2014), with the thesis "Art and Memory: Developments and derivations about the concept of memory and its contribution to artistic practice". He was a Fellow of the Foundation for Science and Technology (2009-2012). Since 1982, he has been teaching at ESAP's Higher Arts Courses, of which he was one of the founders, having held various positions. As a plastic artist, he began exhibiting in 1978: he held 5 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 150 collectives, in Portugal and abroad, being represented in some public and private collections. Between 1976 and 1981 he worked in Animation Cinema, including two films subsidized by the Portuguese Cinema Institute, produced by Cinematógrafo - collective of intervention, of which he was one of the founders.

He is co-founder of the design office - GSA Design, specializing in the development of visual identities as well as in editorial in the area of cultural production, among others.  Jorge Palinhos has a degree in Modern Languages and Literature, and a Master's degree in Terminology and Translation, with a thesis on Text Studies, and a PhD in Cultural Studies. In theater he is the author of several plays published and presented in Portugal, Brazil, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Serbia, Germany and the USA. Paulo Jorge da Silva Fernandes is Multimedia Developer, Photographer and Professor of University Higher Education since 2002. He holds a BA in Photography (2001) and a BA in Multimedia Art and Communication from ESAP (2002). Attends the doctoral program in Communication Sciences, University of Minho, with research focused on interactive media and social semiotics. He has published articles in the areas of Teaching of Visual Arts, Multimedia and New Media, following international conferences, and also participated as a responsible and technical collaborator in the organization and scientific committee of scientific events such as XV AECA, CONFIA'13 / 14 / 15/16, SEGAH'14, Videogames'14. Since 2002 he has been responsible for several multimedia projects, namely international projects of virtual reality photography, multimedia products such as educational games, desktop and web applications, as well as various websites developed in flash technologies, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, PHP, NodeJS, among others. Since the beginning of 2012, he has signed with Gato Sério (gatoserio.com), with whom he has already made several Multimedia and Interaction projects, including the Bread and Wine Museum of Favaios, Motion Graphics for the Cupertino Foundation miranda, web products for the Hospital Center of Oporto, Museum of the Wine of S.
