Architecture - Integrated Master

Bachelor and Master in History of Art by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto. Doctorate in Architecture (Program Problems of Architecture and modern city: theory, history, projects) by ETSA of the University of Valladolid. She has been a professor at ESAP since 1986. She is Coordinator of the Autonomous Section of Theory and History and Vice-President of the Scientific Council of ESAP. He has been developing research in the field of Theory and History of Architecture and History of Photography, and it is worth mentioning the participation in two completed FCT projects: Photography, Modern Architecture and the "Oporto School": Interpretations around the Teófilo Rego Archive (2013-2015) as responsible researcher, and Modernismos do Sul (2014-2015), as a member of the research team.

Graduated in Architecture in 1989, by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto. He concluded in 2008 the 3rd Cycle of studies in the Department of Theory and Projects of the Technical School of Architecture of Madrid. Currently developing Thesis in P.D.A. of FAUP, with the title "Censorship and Projection; the Modern Architecture of Porto in the minutes of the Municipal Commission of Art and Archeology between 1940 and 1948 ", guided by Professor Francisco Barata Fernandes. He has been teaching at Escola Superior Artística do Porto since 1994/95. After graduating, he collaborated with the architect Rafael Moneo in Madrid in 1991/92. He started his liberal career in 1994 and leads the R31J.Arquitectos project team. In 2004 he won the 1st prize in the Competition for the Requalification of the Ribeirinha Front of the City of Lagos - Polis Program. In 2006, it received the 1st Prize of Architecture of the Douro, attributed to the project of the Quinta da Touriga Winery, within the framework of the celebrations of the 250 years of this demarcated region. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Regional Section of the Order of Architects for the 2008/2010 triennium. He designed the works completed in 2015, Hotel das Descobertas, located in the Ribeira do Porto and administrative sector in the new factory Ramirez located in Matosinhos. Degree in Civil Engineering - Structures option, by FEUP - Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto. PhD in Industrial Electronics Engineering - thesis in Spaces and Intelligent Buildings, by the University of Minho. He works professionally in a company that installs intelligent systems in buildings.

Licenciado em Psicologia (Universidade do Porto, 1986), Mestre em Psicologia Social (Universidade do Porto, 1998), e Doutorado em Ciências Sociais, linha de investigação Psicologia da Arte (Universidade Fernando Pessoa, 2015). Professor Auxiliar na Escola Superior Artística do Porto, onde leciona desde 1987. Membro fundador do Centro de Estudos Arnaldo Araújo (1999), onde coordena o eixo de investigação “Espaço no Cinema” do Grupo Estudos de Cinema. Autor de vários livros e artigos científicos nas áreas do cinema, da arquitetura e da antropologia cultural.

Master in Architecture and Urban Centres Rehabilitation (Safeguard Plans and Rehabilitation of Historical Centres in Portugal). He obtained a PhD degree at the Oxford Brookes University in 2014 (The investigation of energy efficiency measures in the traditional buildings in Porto World Heritage Site). Lecturer at ESAP since 2001, he currently teaches curricular units in the area of Urbanism. Professionally collaborated with the architects Manuel Teles and José Pulido Valente. In the Municipality of Porto, from 1999 to 2002, he worked and coordinated the Porto Architectural Heritage Record. In the Municipality of Gondomar coordinated the Urban and Environmental Requalification of the River Douro Bank intervention between 2004 and 2010 (Polis de Gondomar).

Jorge Vieira Vaz. Architect by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, in 1991 and has studies of 3rd cycle in the area of Architecture (University of Valladolid, 2001). Professor at ESAP, since 1993, in the scientific area of Construction and Technologies (CET). He was Vice - President of the Pedagogical Council and Coordinator of the CET Section of ESAP 's Architecture Department. Is Qualified Expert in Thermal Buildings by ADENE | DGE, Expert ATA Evaluator | MF, Trainer Qualified by IEFP and CCPFC and Expert Consultant in BIM / VDC. He was a member of the Scientific Committee at national and international scientific meetings in the area of Construction and ICT applied to Architecture. He was an expert consultant on the projects "Arrebita! Porto "(Porto Vivo / FCG) and" LAHB Social "(CESSS | CMP). He is currently working in the field of Formal Methods Applied to Architecture.

Jorge Cunha Pimentel graduated in Fine Arts - Painting from FBAUP, in 1989, and PhD in Arquitecturapela Universidad de Valladolid, in 2014, with the thesis Public Works of Rogério de Azevedo. The years of the SPN / SNI and the DGEMN. He has been a professor at ESAP since 1987. He was Director of the Superior Course of Design and coordinator of the degree of Plastic Arts. She has been developing research in the fields of Architecture History and Architectural Design, with the participation in two ESAP projects already completed or in the process of being completed, around the subject of Design Architecture (2014-2016), as responsible researcher; and participation in the FCT project already completed Photography, Modern Architecture and the "Porto School". Interpretations around the Teófilo Rego Archive (2013-2015), as a member of the research team.

Jorge Palinhos é escritor e dramaturgo. As suas obras já foram apresentadas e/ou editadas em Portugal, Brasil, Espanha, Estados Unidos da América, França, Países Baixos, Bélgica, Alemanha, Suíça e Sérvia, em espaços como o Teatro Nacional São João, o Teatro Meridional, o Teatro Municipal Rivoli e Teatro Municipal Campo Alegre, o Teatro Beursschouwburg, em Bruxelas, o Teatro Schaubühne, em Berlim, o Graham Institute, de Chicago, o SESC de São Paulo, La Comédie de Reims, CDN Orléans, o Teatro Nanterre-Amandiers, em Paris, etc.

Foi galardoado com o Prémio Miguel Rovisco 2003 e o Prémio Manuel-Deniz Jacinto 2007, e esteve na short-list do Prémio Luso-Brasileiro de Teatro António José da Silva 2011.

Foi dramaturgo e dramaturgista convidado na Capital Europeia da Cultura Guimarães 2012, é dramaturgista da companhia belga Stand-up Tall, e investigador residente da companhia Visões Úteis.

É doutorado em Estudos Culturais com uma tese sobre dramaturgia lusófona contemporânea. Investigador responsável do Centro de Estudos Arnaldo Araújo, Diretor da Licenciatura em Teatro e docente da Escola Superior Artística do Porto e da Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. Tem feito investigação no âmbito da dramaturgia, performance, narrativa interativa e espacialidades.

José Carlos Costa de Sousa, Degree in Architecture, ESAP (School of Art of Porto), 1989. PhD in Architecture, UDC (University of A Coruña), Department of Representation and Architectural Theory. He has been working as an architect since 1989. He worked with Architect Adalberto Dias between 1987 and 1991, namely in the contest for the Centro Cultural De La Defensa in Madrid, a partnership between Architects Adalberto Dias and Álvaro Siza Vieira. As a liberal professional, he also collaborated in Ateliers Gauceme - Estudos e Projectos de Arquitectura e Engenharias Lda and GINN Lda, between 1988 and 1995. In 1995 he co-founded Atelier J. Teixeira de Sousa - Arquitectos Associados Lda, Porto, where he works . This curriculum includes about 100 projects, 10 first prizes and 3 distinctions. He teaches UC Project 4 at ESAP, an institution he has been teaching since 1990.

José Luís Guimarães, born in Porto. Graduated in Architecture from the Escola Superior do Porto in 1991. Curricular Phase of the Master's Degree in Archeology in the Specialization of Urban Archeology, at the University of Minho, Braga, 1999. Doctorate in Architecture with the Thesis, The Experimental Dimension of Architecture . Lecturer at the Project 3 Course, since 1992. 1st President of the Association of Former Students of the Porto Superior School of Art. He was effective member of several Directorates of C.E.S.A.P. (Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Artistico do Porto), and is currently an effective member of the General Council of ESAP. He was Secretary of the General Council of ESAP between 2012/2013. He was Deputy Director of the Academic Direction of ESAP between 2014 and 2015. He was responsible for the DSFOE (Direction of the Fortifications and Army Works Department) between 1992 and 1993. He has published several architectural projects as well as several communications in the areas of medieval housing , architectural history and culture, scenography and experimental architecture.

Luís Ferreira Rodrigues holds a degree in Architecture (ESAP 1990) and a PhD in Project Theory and Practice (Department of Architectural Projects of ETSA Madrid). He has taught at ESAP since 1990 in the curricular units of Design, Project Work, Architecture II and Project 4. In addition he has participated in recent years in critical sessions of the curricular units of the Architecture Masters of FAUP and ETSAM. He has regularly communicated results of the research developed in sessions held at ETSAM (Madrid), ESAP (Porto), ETSAV (Valladolid) and Arco (Coimbra). He has developed his activity as an architectural professional in his own name since 2000, with experience in the area of building rehabilitation and restoration, building a diversified program of buildings, as noted by some national and foreign publications.

Maria de Fátima Alves Sales Varão. Degree in History - Archeology (University of Porto, 1986). PhD in Architecture, with Thesis Januário Godinho in Portuguese Architecture or the other face of modernity (Modern Architecture and Restauration program, University of Valladolid, 2001). Fellow of FCT, program PRAXIS XXI (1995-1999). Lecturer at ESAP (since 1987), currently teaching at the Integrated Master's Degree in Architecture and Visual Arts Licenciatura Photography, Intermediate Plastic Arts, Audiovisual Cinema, Multimedia Communication Design and Theater. Coordinator of the Autonomous Section of Theory and History (2010/2012). Researcher at CEAA (UI & D 4041 of FCT) and coordinator of the Modern Architecture theme - preservation and dissemination. IR of the Group of Theory, Critics, History and Practices of Contemporary Art of CEAA (2010/2012).

Fatima Fernandes. It has a degree in Architecture from ESBAP and a PhD in Theory and Practice from the ETSAM Polytechnic University of Madrid with the thesis Architecture in the Construction of Landscape. She has been a professor at ESAP since 1996. She was Director of the ESAP Architecture Course and President of the Admissions Council of the Order of Architects SRN. In 1984 she founded CANNATÀ & FERNANDES arquitectos Lda. She was the Commissioner of Architecture events at AEP and scientific responsible for the Department of Architecture of ASA Editions. and Civilization Editions. She was invited to exhibit her work in international exhibitions, highlighting the Venice Biennale, the Milan Triennale, and her works and projects are published in monographic publications and international architectural books and magazines. It develops research in the area of ​​architecture and urbanism with a focus on themes linked to the influence of architecture in the construction of territorial infrastructures and in the transformation of the landscape.

Maria Helena Maia. Degree in History - Art and Archeology (University of Porto, 1982) and PhD in Architecture, Modern Architecture and Restoration (University of Valladolid, 2002). She has been a teacher at ESAP since 1984. She was the coordinator and vice-director of the Architecture course and president of ESAP's Scientific Council. It has been developing research in the field of Theory and History of Architecture, with the participation in three FCT projects already completed: "Popular Architecture in Portugal. A Critical Reading (2010-2013), as responsible researcher; Photography, Modern Architecture and the "Porto School". Interpretations around the Teófilo Rego Archive (2013-2015) and Modernismos do Sul (2014-2015), as a member of the research team.

Paolo Marcolin. Master in Planning and Design of the Urban Environment (FAUP-FEUP) and Doctor of Architecture - Dynamics and Urban Forms (FAUP). He has been a faculty member at ESAP since 2000. He was Director of ESAP's Architecture Department. Currently, he coordinates the Department of Urbanism of this Department and holds the position of Director of the Integrated Masters in Architecture of ESAP. Throughout his professional career he has collaborated in several national and international projects and competitions. It develops research in the area of urbanism focusing on themes related to urban and territorial design.

Graduated in Architecture at ESAP - Escola Superior Artística do Porto in 1986. He obtained the degree of "Doctor por la Universidad de Valladolid" by the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of the University of Valladolid, Spain, in 2014. The academic Portuguese Ph.D degree was recognized by the University of Porto, also in 2014. Construction's and Technologies teacher of the Integrated Masters Course of Architecture since 1996. Director of LIAD - Architecture & Design Research Laboratory, a Studies Center of ESAP. Researcher of LIAD, he develops research in the fields of Architecture and Construction and Technologies, being of note that it was Responsible Investigator of two projects ESAP / Investigation already concluded: Thomas Jefferson and the University of Virginia Project andDesign of coating fastening system for ventilated facades. He exercise the profession of Architect since 1986, having held numerous projects of diverse scope. He was a collaborater of Alcino Soutinho between 1987 and 1991.
