Next November 21, at 2.30 pm, at Atos room, will take a place a meeting with Mário Azevedo, from ESMAE, with the title “O Mundo e o Outro”
Mário Azevedo was born in 1957 and graduated from the Stichting Orffwerkgroep in Delft (The Netherlands). He was a professor at the ESE of Paula Frassinetti between 1984 and 1996. PhD in Artistic Education from FBAUP / UP, he is a member of NIMAE and collaborator of i2ADS, where he develops a deep work on Art Education, Music, Aesthetics and Philosophy.
The elements of his work focus - silence, the world and the birth, the ear-reified and the ear-in-transit, openness and indeterminacy - show ruptures of meaning in contemporary times.
Making his family locus amoenus, he plays lute on the sly, and particularly likes Hildegarda de Bingen and Josquin Desprez, Hans Memling and Thomas Hirschhorn, Gustav Mahler and John Cage, Steve Reich and Toumani Diabaté, Vergílio Ferreira and Paul Celan, orchids and old vines.
