Emanuel Cameira is an integrated researcher at IHC-NOVA FCSH. He holds a PhD in Sociology from ICS-Ulisboa and a postgraduate degree in Curatorial Studies from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the same university. As Guest Assistant Professor, he has been teaching at Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and at the Escola Superior de Comunicação Social (ESCS) of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. Having developed work in the areas of reading, book and publishing sociologies, he won, in 2018, the Victor de Sá Prize for Contemporary History (University of Minho). He is the editor of Barco Bêbado.
